About the event

Prof David Nutt is a British neuropsychopharmacologist known for his research on how drugs affect the brain, particularly in areas such as addiction, anxiety, and sleep. He is the founder and chairman of Drug Science, a non-profit organisation established in 2010 to provide independent, evidence-based information about drugs. In 2019, he co-founded GABA labs and its subsidiary SENTIA Spirits, which focus on developing and marketing alternatives to alcohol.

Until 2009, he was a professor at the University of Bristol, where he led the Psychopharmacology Unit. He later became the Edmond J Safra Chair in Neuropsychopharmacology at Imperial College London and now directs the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit within its Division of Brain Sciences.
